AS A COACH:
After playing his collegiate career at Metro State, Michael became the Boys Varsity Assistant Coach at Arapahoe High School in Littleton, CO, under Head Coach Dan Snyder. After one season, Michael left to become the Girls Junior Varsity Coach at Golden High School, under his father, Joe Bahl. Michael then moved onto Metro State University of Denver as an Assitant Coach from 2010 - 17. At the conclusion of the 2017 season, Michael was named the Head Coach at Metro State. Michael compiled an overall record of 64 - 62 over his 5 seasons.

My journey at MSU Denver took a transformative turn during my sophomore year when I began working with Coach Michael Bahl. Beyond the tactical side of the game, Coach Bahl mentored me on the importance of character and personal accountability. His influence has shaped me into a more effective coach and, more importantly, a better individual.
Working under Coach Matt Hammer at CSU Pueblo, I developed a coaching style centered on player growth and team synergy. I am committed to passing these foundational principles down to the athletes I lead, ensuring they excel both on and off the court.

Current Profession:
I work as a School Social Worker at Dupont Elementary in Adams County School District 14 in Commerce City, Colorado. I provide mental health and social-emotional services for students in special education.
Basketball Accomplishments / Achievements (Player):
In my senior year of high school, I led the state of Montana in three-point field goals made, totaling 61, while shooting 44% from beyond the arc. I averaged 9 points per game on a well- balanced team. During the Montana State Senior Classic tournament, I scored 51 points in a single game, which contributed to earning me a basketball scholarship to the University of Providence.
In college, I was a three-time Academic All-Conference selection, a two-time Champion of Character award recipient, and served as a team captain. During my junior season, I led the nation in three-point field goal percentage at 51%, and in my senior year, I ranked in the top 10 nationally at 45%. I averaged 6 points per game over my junior and senior seasons, scoring a total of 392 points during those two years and 519 points over my college career. My team qualified for the National Tournament in Kansas City in 2020; however, the tournament was canceled due to COVID-19.

I enjoy golfing, spending time with my family, playing video games, listening to music, hiking and fishing outdoors, and spending time with my dogs. I am also passionate about basketball
and staying connected to the game. Additionally, I maintain a strong connection to my Blackfeet heritage and strive to learn traditional ways from my family members and elders.

I am married to my wife Sidney Wetzel and we have a 1 year old daughter, Mazie Belle Wetzel. We have two energetic dogs (Ari and Maya) and a big fat cat (Nala).

Coaching Experience: Coached for two years at Green Mountain High School, assisting all three levels (no permanent head coach experience other than high school summer league tournaments).
Hobbies & Interest: True addiction to both the game of Basketball and Football (especially the University of Michigan). Currently trying to achieve peak physical performance through exercise, nutrition, and recovery practices. I also love to ski in the winter and hike in the summer.

Ellie Barrows
Years at B&B: 3rd year coaching at B&B, but I played with B&B for 2 years during my high school career.
High School Attended: I went to Columbine High School from 2015-2019.
Sports Participated in High School: I was a four-sport athlete in high school, and an 11-time varsity letterman. I played softball, basketball, track, and golf. I lettered in basketball and track all four years of my high school career. For softball I lettered my junior and senior year, and I lettered in golf my senior year.
College Attended (Degree): I received my Associates of Science degree in 2021 from Ellsworth Community College (ECC) in criminal justice, and my Bachelors of Science degree in 2023 from Nebraska Wesleyan University (NWU) in criminal justice in society.
Current Profession: I work for Jeffco Schools Security as a campus supervisor at Evergreen High School. I also am the Freshmen basketball coach and varsity assitant at Ralston Valley HS. In addition, I am a private skills coach for basketball through an agency called Coach Up.
Basketball Accomplishments / Achievements (Player): In high school I was a 3-time all-conference team player and held the record in three pointers at CHS with 101. I was able to help lead Columbine to three sweet 16 appearances in our playoff runs from my sophomore-senior year. Then, I signed to play basketball at ECC in Iowa Falls, Iowa. At ECC I started every single game of my career. My biggest achievements at the junior college level would be the following: holding the record for most 3’s in a game with 9, most 3’s in a season 82, and 8th in all season field goals made at 136. After that, I transferred to NWU, and played well there averaging the most points my senior year with 15 a game and scored the highest points that season with 27. Plus, I managed to finish my career with a 3-point percentage at 62% the highest on record at NWU.
Coaching Experience: I started off at Bear Creek High School (BCHS) as a freshman assistant for the girls’ team. Then I switched over to be the Columbine HS JV assistant for their girls' program. In November I got promoted to being the head JV girls' basketball coach and helped girls that have never played basketball before turn into some little hoopers.
Hobbies & Interest: I really enjoy working out and watching my Denver sports teams, but I also like to hang out with my family or friends on the weekends if I have a free moment by doing game nights, catching a concert, or being outdoors.
Personal: I enjoy being the middle sister of four siblings. I have an older sister and older brother that are 25, a younger sister who is 20, and a younger brother who is 14. I am very close with my family and enjoy being a daughter, granddaughter, and the new role of being a sister in-law this year.
